Lotus Blau offers massages and various forms of bodywork to help you heal on a physical, emotional, and energetic level. We offer the following modalities of bodywork:
 Swedish Massage
a system of long strokes, kneading, and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles through the use of oils, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.
 Deep Tissue Massage
a technique that releases chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on contracted areas, either following or going across the grains of muscles, tendons, and fascia.
 Sports Massage
a kind of massage therapy that focuses on muscle systems relevant to a particular sport. It involves different massage approaches while an athlete is in training, during sports activity, and after a sport event.
 Pre and Post-Natal Massage
utilizes massage techniques to relax the client before giving birth and after giving birth, and to address common pregnancy issues such as lower back pain, water retention, sciatica, and stress.
 Thai Massage
a technique in which the therapist uses his or her body to move the massage recipient into a series of poses, and includes muscle compression, joint mobilization and acupressure. Thai Massage can be described as a combination between assisted yoga postures and shiatsu.
 Myofascial Release
a form of bodywork using long stretching strokes that seeks to rebalance the body by releasing tension through unwinding the fascia/connective tissue.
 Reflexology
a technique that uses pressure points on the feet, hands and ears that correspond, or "reflex," to all areas of the body, such as body parts and organs.
 Cranio-Sacral Therapy
a gentle touch method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of the central nervous systems. Through this subtle energy work, the bones of the cranium, spine, and sacrum can be manipulated, as they are not fixed, and are actually floating within the cerebrospinal fluid
 Polarity Therapy
Polarity Therapy is a health system involving energy-based bodywork, diet, exercise and self-awareness, incorporating the five basic elements of ether, air, fire, water, and earth.
 Reiki
Reiki means Universal Life Energy. By the gentle laying of hands on or off the body, the Universal Life Energy flows through the practitioner to the client in order to bring about healing.
